Shane Bauer

PT

Shane received his Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Wisconsin in 1995.  He spent the first 5 years of his career working in a hospital-based orthopedic physical therapy department.  He then spent the next 20 years as the owner and sole practitioner of a private physical therapy practice in Fond du Lac, WI.  He is proud to bring his years of experience and established Fond du Lac practice to the family of Advanced Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine.

His clinical experience includes treating a wide array of neurological and musculoskeletal diagnoses.  He has a special interest in spine-related pain and injuries of the overhead athlete.  He has completed an extensive array of continuing education including certifications in Spinal Manipulative Therapy (SMT) and Dry Needling (DN) from the American Academy of Manipulative Therapy.

He has been a member of the Wisconsin Physical Therapy Association (WPTA) and American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) since 1993 with a special interest in orthopedics, sports medicine, and private practice.

His personal life includes several years of volunteering as coach of youth basketball, softball, and baseball.  More recently, he is the developer and administrator of his local American Legion Baseball program.  In his spare time he enjoys golfing, skiing, hunting, traveling with his family, and Badger football as a 25-year season ticket holder.  He is married to Krista and is the father of Samuel, Gwyneth, and Matthew.
